SUSAN ROMERO

Susan Romero is excited to join the MSKW team as a Senior Attorney.  She was admitted to the California State Bar in June 2007.  She has been practicing in the field of workers’ compensation since 2010.  She has experience representing self-insured employers, third-party administrators, and corporations in all aspects of workers’ compensation including case inception, discovery, and trial.  She is known for her quick and early resolution on matters and is fluent in Spanish. She can provide her clients a bigger picture perspective on the workers’ compensation landscape seeing that she has worked as a defense attorney, in-house counsel, and as a former applicants’ attorney.  

Susan graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. She obtained her J.D. with a certificate in Criminal Law from Whittier Law School where she was awarded best cross-examination.  During her time in law school, she studied abroad in Venice, Italy, interned at the Orange County Public Defender’s Office, and served in leadership positions raising funds annually to support students in unpaid internship roles.  

Outside of work, she enjoys quality time with her husband, two daughters, and cannot get enough cuddle time with her two adorable male yorkies.  She loves to travel, hike, and paddleboard.  She loves all things Disney and enjoys being involved in her kids’ schools and sport activities.
