ROBERT TOBEY

Robert Tobey is a Senior Subrogation Associate in the Subrogation Department at MSKW. He brings with him years of experience in complex and catastrophic claims, toxic torts, product liability claims, premises matters, and general insurance claims.  In his 20-plus years of practice in the State of California, he has worked with and represented a wide range of insurance carriers, manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, and transportation companies at every stage of litigation while providing legal analysis and counsel regarding legal issues and strategies on a case by case basis as well as overall client objectives. In addition to zealously representing clients from inception through resolution, Robert’s compulsion to meticulously evaluate both sides of any given issue is not only a passion, it is imperative to further meet the client’s expectations and goals.       

Robert earned his J.D. and B.A. from the University of Arizona. He started his career as an Assistant City Attorney and then a Deputy County Attorney where he gained invaluable trial experience. After meeting his future wife, he fulfilled his county commitment and moved to California to start a family and his California legal career. Robert is admitted to practice before all courts in the state of California as well as the United States District Court, Northern and Eastern Districts. 

When not advocating on behalf of clients, Robert enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, golfing, and reading.
